Ralf Walter

He goes through painting sometimes looking and sometimes finding.

Hundreds of notes and drawings precede the watercolors and gouaches that in turn anticipate the great format; however, each work is a continuous process of approach, adjustments, and discoveries.

Through the rigor of systematic work and intuition, Ralf transforms individual times and spaces into an anthology of colored poems for the collective soul.

His compositions are luminous colors that bring joy and force a slow journey through its complex geometry to discover between passion and tenderness the organic intensity of his calligraphy.

The work and its author stand in the midst of the great contemporary dynamics of ethics and universal thought, revealing the essential components of his painting: joy, generosity, and love.

Ralf Walter was born in 1941 in the town of Dessau, Germany, arriving in Yucatan around 1980 establishing his residence and artwork studio where he is still working.
