Andrea Basteris
Andrea was born in Merida, Mexico in 1986. Her work documents and examines the extremities and shifting identities of humanity, often against backdrops of political and socioeconomic conflicts with great courage, she tackles the most challenging images of life, maintaining a solid commitment in finding the purpose and meaning of this existence.
Her artwork explores the delicate balance between life and death, peace and conflict. Her photos invite the viewer to examine the delicate equilibrium between humanity and nature, and the need for greater understanding of our past in order to guide our future decisions.
